As time goes by from sun to moon
An endless ever-changing rune
We must defend our way of life,
Protect the tribe, prevent all strife.
Your destiny will come to pass
A penance spun with threads of glass
These many years you will endure
This lonely spell without a cure
For countless years on anguish feast
Your form a mindless, savage beast
Until a hostile, dreadful force
Brings duty as your only course
The death of many in our tribe
A growing menace, spreading wide
A journey you can not prevent
Heart-broken, tearful souls relent
Your function then comes to the fore;
Care for your clan forevermore
When time is right, you find your mate
And fight to free your truest fate
Then deepest love will call to you
Go forth and meet it with its due
These final words ring ever clear
Who finds it first must hold it dear
For each must find the value true
Alone, with no well-meaning clue
If ‘tis not so, the turn reverse
No hope of mercy from this curse
Long ago, atop a snow-covered mountain in North Carolina, four blood-brothers, Mathias, Marcus, Lucien, and Jonathan, were bound together by an ancient Cherokee curse and banished to Eternity Mountain by their tribe’s Shamans. They were left with the ability to shape-shift, various psychic gifts, and eternal life.
Each of the four, in their own way, has come to terms with the curse and the powers it gives them. The first book, Snow Shadows, published in August 2008, tells the story of Mathias. The second, Storm Shadows, tells the story of Marcus and is now under contract. It will be released soon. I've started the third book, tentatively titled Sun Shadows, and it tells Lucien's story. The fourth will be about Jonathan, who knows their time is running out and is determined to break the curse for all of them.

What’s a woman to do if she’s lost in a blizzard on an isolated mountain, faints when she thinks she sees a bear, and then wakes up in the arms of a tall, dark, mysterious stranger? Give in to temptation and seduce him, of course.
Mathias Tassel is everything Ellen Mallory ever dreamed of in a man—thoughtful, caring, gentle, and he has a great sense of humor. Added to that, he’s gorgeous. What woman wouldn’t be tempted?
There’s just this one tiny little thing; at the height of passion Ellen keeps imagining Matt is turning into a bear. She can live with that. After all, she’s been questioning her own sanity for a while now and sex with Matt is mind-blowing enough to tip her over the edge.
Their snowbound tryst comes to an end when Matt tries to explain who and what he is; an immortal shape-shifter who also has psychic powers. Ellen may be crazy, but she’s not falling for that and sends him on his way.
But that isn’t the only thing standing between Ellen and Matt. There are other forces at work on Eternity Mountain, unknown factors which will reunite them, only to tear them apart again.
Can they survive the powers working against them and overcome an ancient Cherokee curse to find their destiny?
