Welcome! 

I live in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains with my husband and two dogs.  Caitlyn Hunter is my pseudonym for writing romance, from sensual to sweet, paranormal to contemporary.  Under my real name, I write poetry, stories for children/young adults, and fact-based fiction.  I've never gotten up the nerve to submit any of them for publication...but, I'm a believer in dreams, and you never know what will happen in the future!

My first book, Death by Indifference, a sensual romantic suspense, was published as an ebook by StarDust Press in January 2007.  The publisher closed its doors at the end of September and the rights were released back to me.  I am hoping one day I'll find the time to do some revisions on it and submit it to other publishers.

My second book, Unwilling Angel, is a sweet paranormal romance about a woman dealing with the unexpected death of her husband and the even more unexpected appearance of an angel in her life.  It won first place in a writing contest and was released as an ebook by Twilight Fantasies Publications in September.  Unfortunately, shortly after it was released, the rights for this work had to be pulled away from the publisher for breach of contract.  It was re-released by Red Rose Publishing in December 2008.

My first print book, a sensual paranormal romance, Snow Shadows, Book One of Eternal Shadows was released in September 2008.  The publisher, L&L Dreamspell is a micro publisher of both fiction and non-fiction.  The second book in the series, Storm Shadows, will be released in late 2009.

I also have short stories in two anthologies,Third Time's for Keeps in Romance of My Dreams and The Secret Life of Alice Smitty, in PMS: Poison + Murder = Satisfaction.

In addition, I recently signed a contract for Winds of Fate, another sensual paranormal romance, this one based on the legend of the Blowing Rock in North Carolina.  Winds will be released in spring 2010. 

I have several works-in-progress, including the third book in my Eternal Shadows series (tentatively titled Sun Shadows), a cougar novella (no title for it yet) that is complete but needs polishing, and Whistling Woman, a book I'm working on with my sister based on our great aunt's life growing up at the turn of the 20th century in Hot Springs, NC.  I have hopes of adding a WIP page to this site soon so readers can keep up with what's going on in my writing world.
